• Who are Accident Lawyers Online?

  Accident Lawyers Online is a trading brand of Ashton Lake Solicitors, a solicitor's law firm regulated by the Law Society. All of its solicitors are members of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers.

• How long will it take for my claim to settle?

  This depends on the circumstances of your case. There are many factors which can influence how long a claim will take. A standard accident claim where liability is admitted and medical evidence is accepted by the Defendant could settle in a few months. A more complex claim may take longer than this. When we have assessed your case we will be able to advise in more detail on the likely time periods.

• How long do I get to make a claim?

  As a general rule you are entitled to claim compensation up to 3 years after the date of the accident. If the accident occurred before you were 18 then the 3 years time period does not begin to run until you are 18. Other exceptions to the 3 year rule may also apply and it is always best to check by getting legal advice if you are considering making a claim.

• How much will it cost me to claim?

  There is no cost to making a claim. If you win your case then we will recover our costs from the same Defendant who pays your compensation. If you lose your case then you do not owe us anything. The only circumstance in which we would ask you for any costs is if you were to withdraw from your claim without completing it. This is because we would have spent time working on your case and would then be unable to recover our costs from the Defendant if you did not complete your claim.

• Are there any hidden charges that you have not mentioned?

  No. There is no cost to you whether you win or lose the case. You will receive 100% of your compensation without deduction if you win and no costs will be payable if you lose. There are no loans, no costs and no fees to pay.

• Will I need to attend a medical appointment?

  Yes. If you wish to make a claim then you will need to attend a medical appointment in your location with an independent doctor. This appointment will allow the expert to prepare a medical report which will be used to value your claim. The medical appointment will be local to you and any travel costs can be included in your claim.

• Will I need to attend your offices to pursue a claim?

  No. Accident Lawyers Online was created to allow people to pursue their claims without attending time consuming meetings. We can deal with your claim without meeting and can conduct your case by telephone, letter or email. If you wish to meet with us then we are able to visit you in your home or you can visit us at our office.

• How much compensation will I get?

  This will depend on your injuries and every case is different. It is not possible to give an estimation on the likely level of compensation without having full details of your injuries as confirmed in the medical report. Once we have obtained the medical report we will then be able to provide an estimation of your likely level of compensation.
